Staying Centered In Stressful Times

""

Well, as we move through Fall 2020, the colors on the leaves are "peaking," temperatures are dropping, and change further proves itself to be the one true constant in the manifest realm of Life.

How do we manage change? How do we employ Truth teachings in moments of upheaval?  2020 certainly has been a year of many changes, and many challenges.  Fortunately for us, as Children of God, we have many spiritual tools to help us along the way in this human journey.  One of these tools is spiritual understanding.  In the whirlwind of change all around us, we can take comfort in knowing that the One Presence and One Power of the Universe is always present, in and around us.  In Lessons In Truth, Emilie Cady writes:

Spirit is always and forever the same, one God, one Spirit, but in different forms of manifestation.  The gift of healing is no more, no greater, than the gift of prophecy; the gift of prophecy is no greater than faith, for faith (when it is really God's faith manifested through us), even as a grain of mustard seed, shall be able to remove mountains.  The working of miracles is no greater than the power to discern spirits (or the thoughts and intents of other men's hearts, which are open always to Spirit). And "greatest of these is love" (1 Cor. 13:13); for "love never ends" (1 Cor. 13:8) to melt down all forms of sin, sorrow, sickness, and trouble. "Love never faileth."

We are, in potential, the pure Light and Love of God expressing as the Christ.  If we are ever feeling discouraged, overburdened, or lost, prayer and meditation serve as marvelous reminders of who - and what - we truly are.  As we often say, "Prayer doesn't change other people or outer conditions, it changes us."  Anchored in faith, we have the opportunity to live, as Thoreau wrote in his great Walden, "with the license of a higher order of beings."  Faith, coupled with intuition, another spiritual tool, gives us the ability to see beyond appearances to the deeper reality: that Spirit is in all, through all, is all.  Prayer is the primary way by which we strengthen our faith.

When was the last time prayer truly transformed your outlook on a situation, a relationship, a job, or anything else?  I invite you to contact us; tell your story of the transformative power of affirmative prayer.  We would love to hear from you!

In the meantime, we join together in prayer, holding the world in the Light of Divine Love, peace, and Oneness.

Yours In Spirit,

Daryn L. Wells

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.  He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings."  ~ Henry David Thoreau, from Walden
